Why I make what I make
Fisk and Fern first started with myself and a friend because we loved making things and wanted to make things for other people. That's still what fuels me. Every printmaking print is hand-pulled or hand-pressed, and printed in limited runs. There is some slight variation from print to print (in color and position sometimes) but that is the beauty and nature of hand done printmaking.

I use pre-made materials when it makes sense. The coloring books are professionally digitally printed, simply because if they were hand printed the cost to you would be astronomical! Also, I print on moleskine notebooks, because they are fantastically made and print beautifully. I make my own journals as well, but I like to offer you options.

Refunds and Exchanges
I do offer returns. To receive your refund, the item will need to be shipped back and I will refund the item amount and original shipping amount.

As my items are all handprinted I do NOT accept returns on items that are ever so slightly different than what you see photographed. I do everything in small runs and while the colors are usually the same from run to run, there will be slight shifts in color or position from time to time which is the beauty of the human touch! Of course, if something arrives damaged or far off from what is pictured returns will be made immediately.

green policies
All my paper and envelopes for my greeting cards are recycled & post consumer waste paper from the wonderful french paper company - who uses wind paper and is a family owned business. In terms of packaging, the majority of the plastic sleeves used are a plant based plastic, which is a huge relief to me. All the ink I use is water based and non-toxic (which means everything is cleaned with soap and water not scary toxic cleaners). And very shortly the coloring books (and all subsequent books) will be printed with soy-based inks.

I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to recycling. Every sliver and scrap is recycled, if not reused for other, interesting uses, such as teeny test print notebooks.

Shipping
I mainly ship USPS first class, and around holidays priority mail. I try to ship every order within 2 days of receiving your order. As noted the tea towels take longer, please allow 1 -2 weeks for shipping (depending quantity of tea towels ordered). If you need a package very quickly, just contact me and I'll make it so, adjusting for expedited cost. I love shipping to my international customers! All of the US packages are tracked with delivery confirmation.
